Third Study Square

Third Weekly Study Square Quiltlet. Lots of fun scraps to work with this week. The 8 words were:
ethics
table
channel
sister
dawn
brother
elapse
mutter

I like how this looks as if it will fall apart if you so much as move it.
Detail of one of the Dorothys.

I love the way the Dorothy at the bottom looks Madonna-ish. It's the way the stitching around her radiates iconically.

Ooh, the dark pieces give it kick and movement. They keep getting more interesting. I can't wait to see the next one!

Thanks! I'm so glad you caught the Madonna/icon stitching I was going for there Bron.
You're right, Sonja, I definitely needed the darker parts for everything else to play off of. Glad you're finding these interesting.
Pink and green, not my go-to combination, but I found I like them together. Thanks, Jaye.

The more sewing I do every week, the more scraps I have to work with...it's a lovely sort of circle I've set up for myself.
