It's that time of the month where I make some Pantone Project blocks. Here are the colors of the postcards I've received lately from friend Jaye. I don't know if she planned this ahead or not, but this is a very nice palette of colors. It would make a very cheery quilt.
I always start out with the orange if there is one, and I found this particular orange was a bit hard to match.
This blue went pretty well with a lot of the blues I have, I included that one woven fabric just to see. It would work color-wise, but we agreed on using quilting cottons only.
I was shocked to not find many options for this color, and am not entirely pleased with my selection. I. may do some more digging around on this one. Maybe in my color of the year project container?
Here are the fabric selections I'm likely going to use.
Yeah, definitely going to look for a better red violet for that Cactus Flower color. The one I chose matches almost exactly one of the three rose shapes, but overall it's much too dark for this one.
