July To-Do

Here's what the design wall looks like on the first of the month. On the right is, still,  the classwork from the Jane Sassaman class way back in February. Now long languishing and drooping like the actual sour grass that I was attempting to represent. On the left is Trinket, pinned up after finishing the anchor quilting. In the forefront are the two quilt finishes from June, draped over the box for City Sampler.

I always feel a bit silly making a to-do list for the month of July, because who the heck knows whether it will be too hot, or I'll have overdone it out in the garden too many days in a row. And this particular July, we're hopefully helping my mom move and that will take at least two weeks out of the month, one to actually do it and one for me to recover. Anywhooooo, I'm still posting one and hoping for the best.

I'm continuing to use the not-so-new configuration of my to-do list below, as it more closely follows the database categories that I use to keep track of all my work-in-progress. I've added a Design section this month. Note: the use of πŸ₯πŸ‘½  by a project name indicates that it's on the 2025 UFO Finishes challenge list of six projects that I committed to at the beginning of the year.

QUILTS

Design

Pantone Project - work on a overall design, either in EQ8 or up on the design wall.

Continue Assembly

Keep working on Sour Grass Grace from Jane Sassaman class.
Old Town Mystery Quilt - assemble blocks.
AG Stamp Quilt - continue to make more blocks using the cut-out stamp block borders and centers from Tula Pink fabrics.
Begin the piecing of Selvedge Candy (maybe the name) quilt for MQG challenge.

πŸ₯πŸ‘½ Trim down to size and then sew the 12 columns of the 2023 Temperature Quilt together to make the quilt top.
πŸ₯πŸ‘½ Bohemian Wife -  Decide on whether I'm quilting this myself or not.

πŸ₯πŸ‘½City Sampler- finish putting together a backing, then take to a long-armer to be quilted.

Quilting

πŸ₯πŸ‘½ Trinket now that the anchor quilting is done, finish the rest of the quilting.

Final Steps

ICAD -  keep at it and finish
up the month.

HANDWORK/BAG/CLOTHING PROJECTS
Make a Cotton Candy pouch for myself.
Oxbow Tote - cut out and begin the assembly.

Toned-Down Circle Sampler - source correct size of grey background felt, arrange and appliquΓ© the circles, start embroidering.
Y.E.S. Coat - continue making pieces/blocks. assemble on foundation, cut out lining pieces from the fabric that I dyed
Snake In The Garden - Finish hand stitching
Kawandii - Finish hand stitching/assembly

Hey! This Is All Finished!

πŸ₯πŸ‘½Metro Twist
πŸ₯πŸ‘½Running Out of Raincloud

Once again, last month, TWO whole quilts were moved down to the finished section. And that's two offf of the πŸ₯πŸ‘½UFO list.  Hurrah, hooray! Nothing was moved to the final steps section but I'm putting ICAD in there as it finishes up at the end of July.
