For several days this week, all the news and weather people were incessantly talking about snow actually for real, oh my goodness, coming to our area. Fairly rare, not unheard of, but still, they made it out to be a Really. Big. Deal. Slow news week maybe??
This is how much we actually got. Maybe a 1/4" or so. Not much of a "snowpocalypse" as they made it out to be.
What do you expect for this mild part of California though?
Very pretty while it lasted, hilariously confusing to cats, and no one had to shovel anything.

We got a couple feet last week and another.... let's go with almost three feet this week. Had to drive up and over just after the storm stopped yesterday and then back over again today. Driving in it was probably a good part of why I'm feeling so exhausted tonight. Yeah, snow pack needed for summer water, yada yada. And it's pretty. But I'm tired of shoveling and ready for it to all melt away and stay away until next season. On the plus side, I've gotten a lot more use out of my two new pair of boots I got for Yule!
Oh, "up and over" and "back over again" - I meant the Sierras and Cascades. Didn't mean to be obtuse. Just talking like you're a local. LOL
I guess I'm local enough that I knew what you were referring to!
And I do not envy you all that shoveling, although new boots sounds good. I finally got to wear my new rain boots!
Hey Julie,
Your amount of snow is what I would like for Christmas Eve...all fluffy and white, then gone later.
I have shoveled, plowed and snow-blown so many FEET this year I lost track.....
News people are a hoot.
OMG!!! THE SKY'S FALLING!
(I think most of the stations should be called K-Chicken Little....ya know??? Same here though....LOL!)
XXOO~~♥

I'm glad to see a real photo -- all my relatives out there tell me that they didn't get any. I was there 35 years ago when we had snow, enough to make a snowman 12" tall if you took all the snow in the whole yard to do it. :)
Great to see some photos. The young Man is mad at the weather people for "lying" about the snow. He really wanted some.
