Hibiscus G&T

 

It's Friday, so it's time for a drink recipe! 

Here's a beautiful gift I received from my daughter this week. 

It's my very favorite gin (St. George's Botanivore) steeping with dried hibiscus flowers.

My instructions were to decant it when we got home from visiting her in Oakland. 

Here's how it looked after the decant.

And here's how it looks in a proper G&T drink situation. It's a wonderfully complex taste. I love it so much.

Hot Hot Hot

 No seriously, it's been much too hot enough lately.

 My newest drink concotion for cooling off, a small amount of this fresh blood orange juice, maybe a 1/3 of a cup, mixed with a limonata Pellegrino and lots of ice. Very refreshing, and pretty too. When it's cocktail hour, then you can put in some vodka too.

Wow, so much cooler. Hard to tell the difference from 111F.
