I finally took a picture of the Dotsy table runner on the table. It's about two inches two long and wide to work out for us unless we have the table extended. But it would still be too wide for placemats.
So, I probably will have to use it as a wall hanging.

You can use it with the table extended. It can be for special occasions. Do you have more of the fabric? You can make another that isn't quite as long or with smaller blocks. What about making smaller table runners to go along sides so that you don't need to use placemats?
That's true, we rarely extend the table, so I guess I could hang it on the wall and take it down... I don't have more of the fabrics as it was a kit I bought from Quilty Box. I guess I could make shallower placemats that would fit, hmmmm.
