ICAD Again

 

Starting out on another year's ICAD, making something out of one index card a day through the end of July. There's still time to catch up and join me. I'm again going with words as my overall theme.

Summing up my thoughts on the day's events.

I know it's not a gopher, but I was reacting to the gopher madness currently going on in my yard.

The marks are made in an interesting way...you can kind of see the metal sheen of the watercolor.

Same thing used to make the marks, but just layered more times.

Here's the reveal of the mark making tool that I used. The holes were made with a rectangular hole puncher randomly punched out along the edge of one of the index cards. I've glued a long column of text behind it so that some extra words peek out.

As always, I am allowing myself leeway in what tools and techniques are "allowed". In this case it's entirely collage, all from one magnificent magazine picture, just slightly rearranged.
