Failed Bowties

Next up in the six word memoir quiltlet series.
Can you spot the sushi grass that I used?

The words read:"Failed Bowties Can Still Be Beautiful"
Because they can, see? The green/yellow/blue check is leftover from my attempt to make a bowtie for my son's drama performance last spring. I used the shapes "as is" to hopefully make the bowtie idea a bit more obvious.

Good lord girl---hpow do you keep your brain active and continue to think these up???
I might have managed TWO...or THREE.
I think the tie shape is cool....remember my dad once in a while tying one. :)

Hmmm, well it is about the only thing I'm doing art-wise lately, so I guess I have enough art-oomph to get these teeny things done once a week.
Yes, I love the tie shape, evocative of other things like a hill too. We ended up with a store-bought tie since the one I made turned out to be about teddy-bear neck size. Guess who didn't enlarge the pattern??duh!
